But even if you’re not into seafood, Greece will still provide you with plenty of delicious foods...dare I say the BEST food in Europe🫣 💌 Send this to someone you want to sip an aperol spritz and eat a greek salad with🥂 GREEK SALAD 👉🏼 tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, bell peppers, feta…need I say more 👉🏼 so fresh and just hits on a hot summer day TZATZIKI 👉🏼 greek yogurt (!!) & cucumber are at the base of this dip 👉🏼 order pita so you have a carrying vessel or just eat it by the spoonful 😉 DOLMADES 👉🏼 aka stuffed grape leaves 👉🏼 one of the best appetizers you can order SOUVLAKI 👉🏼 skewer of meat that’s cooked on a fire 👉🏼 lamb, pork or chicken MOUSSAKA 👉🏼 similar to a lasagna but with layers of vegetables or potatoes, not pasta 👉🏼 classic comfort food These popular dishes can be found at just about any Greek restaurant.   • How to take the ferry between Greek Islands⬇️ Taking the ferries between the Greek islands is a crucial part of your island hopping adventure. No checked bags, no security, no wasting time at the airport AND you get to be on a (very large) boat in the Mediterranean! Here are my top tips for navigating the Greek island ferries: 📌Save this for your future trip to Greece 1️⃣ Purchase tickets online in advance 👉🏼 Ferryhopper is a great website for buying tickets for your entire itinerary 👉🏼 Book at least 2-3 months in advance for summer 2️⃣ Try to book the first ferry of the day 👉🏼 Will be punctual 👉🏼 Ferries tend to be more and more delayed as the day goes on 3️⃣ Show up early 👉🏼 If the ferry is ready to leave on time, it will! Don’t miss it 🙂 👉🏼 First choice for luggage storage and seating (if not assigned) 4️⃣ Crowds 👉🏼 The lines on/off the ferries can be insane 👉🏼 I found the first ferries of the day to have less crowds 5️⃣ Luggage Storage 👉🏼 Bags will be stored all together in the bottom of the ship 👉🏼 Keep all valuables with you 6️⃣ Pre-arrange Transport 👉🏼 Taxis can be limited upon arrival 👉🏼 Most hotels can help you pre-arrange transport Would you take the ferry between the Greek islands?
