An avid traveler, who is always planning the next adventure…big or small! Growing up I LOVED school and pursued that passion to become an elementary school teacher. Although, I am on a hiatus from that career at the moment, I am still passionate about learning and teaching. Travel has been my biggest teacher and I hope to inspire you to travel and learn from the world as well!

I believe travel can be your greatest teacher. I am passionate about sharing my travel experiences with you, in the hopes that I inspire you to book that dream trip of your own!
I think meeting people from different countries and cultures cultivates an innate connection and understanding of others. The more countries I visit, the more I am reminded how we are all so much more similar than we are different.
Why “ADVENTURES ABROAD WITH ALEX”?
Simply put: I’m Alex, I live abroad in Germany and I’m constantly in search of the next travel adventure!
Now for the full breakdown: I have loved adventures and travel my entire life. Growing up, I was lucky enough to travel a decent amount with my family. This sparked my interest in travel and pushed me to study abroad in college (in 2013). I chose Australia, as I’ve always struggled with foreign languages (jokes on me, as I now live in Germany). While there, I met my now-husband (he’s also from Michigan, USA). This is where the adventure really began…
Then in 2018, I quit my dream kindergarten teaching job & booked a one-way ticket to Germany to join my husband on his “temporary” work assignment. We’ve lived here for 5 years now and spend nearly every weekend adventuring around Europe. My goal is to visit every European country!
